Her debut album, featuring popular new-age artist, May Second.Korea has a lot of new-age artists.I find this album diverse, with a touch of jazz,classical,and pop.And the wonderful piano and flute arrangement in track 4, that feels light and upbeat but also a tinge of sadness here and there. I like most of the tracks, except Happiness, the pop effects were just annoying, and the repeatitve beats took away from the instruments, and I would've liked it much better without. You actually can visualize ballroom dancing in "Last Dance", and Track 7(아뉴스데이) gives off a suspensful feeling but again..pop effects ruined it. I don't think I like much of the pop effects, they kept repeating and was just plain annoying after a while.According to yesasia's description the album features a deep focus on sorrow and joy and an oriental feeling. A interesting listen overall, a few tracks were a bit iffy with the pop effects, but overall, worth the listen, who knows..you might enjoy it.

Biography:
Dang Thai Son - an emerging figure amongst the leading international musicians of our time, Vietnamese pianist Dang Thai Son was propelled to the forefront of the musical world in October 1980, when he was awarded the First Prize and Gold Medal at the Tenth International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. It was also the first time that a top international competition was won by an Asian pianist. He studied with his mother in Hanoi.

Discovered by Russian pianist Isaac Katz, while on visit in Vietnam in 1974, he pursued his training at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia, with renowned pedagogues Vladimir Natanson and Dmitry Bashkirov. Since winning the Chopin Competition, his international career has taken him to over forty countries, into such worldknown halls as Lincoln Center (New York), Jordan Hall (Boston), Barbican Center (London), Salle Pleyel (Paris), Herculessaal (Munich), Musikverein (Vienna), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Opera House (Sydney), Suntory Hall (Tokyo). He has played with a number of world-class orchestras such as the Leningrad Philharmonic, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Dresden Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Berlin, Baden-Baden Symphony Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic, Warsaw National Philharmonic, Prague Symphony, NHK Symphony, Helsinki Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony, Hungarian State Symphony, Moscow Philharmonic, Russian National Symphony, as well as Virtuosi of Moscow, Sinfonia Varsovia, Vienna Chamber, Zurich Chamber, Royal Swedish Chamber. He has appeared under the direction of Sir Neville Marriner, Pinchas Zukerman, Mariss Jansons, Ivan Fisher, Vladimir Spivakov, Dimitri Kitaenko, James Loughram, Jiří Bělohlávek, Hiroyuki Iwaki, Ken-Ichiro Kobayashi, Pavel Kogan, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Sakari Oramo. On New Year's Day, 1995, Dang Thai Son, Yo-Yo Ma, Seiji Ozawa, Kathleen Battle and Mstislav Rostropovich participated in a major international event produced by the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation NHK. In January 1999, he was the only foreign artist invited to participate in the Gala-concert opening the Chopin year, appearing as a soloist with the National Opera Theatre Orchestra. He was also invited to perform in Isaac Stern's last festival in Miyazaki, Japan in 2001 (including three performances with Pinchas Zukerman). In North America, he recently performed in Toronto (Women's Musical Club), New York (Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts), Washington (National Gallery), Boston (Jordan Hall) and Cleveland (Museum of Art). He also gave a 10-concert Canadian tour with Le Quatuor Arthur-LeBlanc and taught and performed at UBC in Vancouver as part of the Dal Grauer Lectures. Events in 2004-2005 included a tour with the Ensemble orchestral de Paris (cond. John Nelson) to Japan (including a concert in Suntory Hall in Tokyo), the Czech Republic and France (at the famed Théâtre des Champs-Élysées); concerts in London with the Russian Chamber Orchestra (St. John's Smith Square), China, Russia, Canada, Mexico, USA, Macedonia and Poland (among others on the first edition of the festival Chopin and his Europe). Since 1987, he has been a visiting professor at Kunitachi Music College (Tokyo) and teaches presently at the Université de Montréal (Québec, Canada) as well.

Sungha Jung - Guitar Prodigy (2007)

Hi, I’m Sungha Jung from South Korea. My dream is to become a professional acoustic fingerstyle guitarist. I just turned eleven in September, 2007.
Currently, I am taking weekly classical guitar lessons and teaching myself fingerstyle guitar. I used to not have tabs for the music that I played in my videos. I just listen and pick them up directly from the sound source in videos available on the internet. However, recently, I have started playing with original tabs whenever they are available to me by courtesy of the authors.
My guitar is custom made to fit my body size, and on it, Thomas Leeb wrote "Keep on grooving to my friend."
